IRISH RETRIEVER RESCUE REUNION A GREAT SUCCESS! 20/09/2008
The Irish Retriever Rescue Reunion Annual Dog Show was held on Saturday 20th September at Bury View Farm, Corston, and was a huge success! The weather was beautiful, the prizes were plentiful, and both humans and canines alike seemed to be enjoying themselves!
Congratulations go to our doggy and human friends for winning a brilliant haul of prizes in the various classes:
* Pauline & Rhani - 5th in the Obedience IRR First Timers class
* Shelley & Finn - 1st in the Best 5 or 6 Legs class (see photo)

The first class of each month in our Improvers Lifeskills groups is to be dedicated to a theme, and this week Four Paws One Direction held its first Theme Night, 'Games & Competitions'!

NEW LOOK PUPPY LIFESKILLS COURSE LAUNCHED 03/10/2008
The newly redeveloped Puppy Lifeskills course is being launched on the 10th October. This new course is designed to cover all the basics of puppy training and care with the added bonus of flexible start dates.

JANUARY PRE-AGILITY GROUNDWORK COURSE NOW FULL 31/10/2008
Our first 'Pre-Agility Groundwork' course due to start in January 2009 is now fully booked. The next run of this course will start in February 2009, and bookings are now being taken.

FINN & WILLOW'S FIRST AGILITY SHOW!
15/04/2009
Finn and Willow made their competitive agility debut on Easter
Sunday, and both were fab! The months of foundation training and
focus work really paid off, and dispite their various 'issues' both were
able to focus on their jobs and worked really well! Willow even
managed to produce a Clear Round; not bad going for an anxious
and reactive dog at her very first show!! Check out the YouTube clip

FOUR PAWS MEETS THE COMMUNITY 02/07/2009
On Tuesday 30th June we were invited to have a stand at the
Somervale School Gardening Evening community event. And a very
pleasant evening it was! The pupils in the Beautiful Futures Team
have transformed a patch of the school into a lovely garden and
were selling plants they'd grown, various local traders set up stalls,
and the school put on a host of activities. Kiri came down to meet
and greet the public and loved all the cuddles from the kids!

Saturday 18th July saw us running a 'Have-a-go Foundation Agility'
ring at the Camerton Village Day. After an unsettled start from the
weather, things brightened up and the afternoon was very pleasant!

WILLOW WINS AT AGILITY SHOW 19/07/2009
On Sunday 19th July Kay & Willow attended a small agility show in
Hereford, and came away with 3rd in Beginners Agility, and won the
Beginners Steeplechase class! Many congratulations to Willow! For a

are £173 each for Valgrays Border Collie Rescue and Irish Retriever
Rescue, so many thanks to all who contributed to this.
