These special School Holiday sessions are aimed at the budding dog owners, trainers and junior handlers of the future, the kids who love to play with their dogs and would like to do something a bit fun during half term. During the session we will look at building confident, independent dog handling skills whilst doing a range of fun exercises and games and tackle a few pieces of low equipment.
These workshops are open to children aged 8 and up, as long as they are comfortable and physically capable of handling the dog (younger children may be allowed by negotiation).
Parents are required to stay during the session and will be provided with hot drinks and biscuits, but where possible we would ask that you let the children work on their own unless assistance is required so that we can build their confidence and handling skills.

These sessions will be held at our indoor training venue in Shoscombe, near Peasedown St John.
The cost is £8 per dog, and siblings in the same family may share the training session by taking it in turns if requested.
The next session takes place on:
Wednesday 15th Feb 2012, 10.30am-

Junior Handlers are always welcome in all our classes. Training a dog at a young age can help build many skills, such as confidence in dog handling, empathy for animals, an understanding of how dogs and other animals (including us humans!) learn, and confidence in interacting with adults.
The Young Kennel Club organisation offers various activities and ways to interact with other youngsters.
